GHS Introduces Two Physician Practices

Granville Health System (GHS) along with the Granville County Chamber of Commerce recently held a ribbon-cutting for two of its physician practices.

Granville Orthopaedics is a new practice on the campus of Granville Medical Center. The practice offers quality orthopaedic care for the community and is led by Rafael Negron, MD.

“I’m pleased to introduce Granville Orthopaedics as one of the newest additions to the Granville Health System family of medical/surgical care offices,” said Chief Executive Officer John F. Snow. “Efforts to increase access to specialty medical care providers that are dedicated to providing care in our community is a good prescription for quality of care and quality of life.”

The second ribbon cutting was held for the newly constructed Granville Primary Care & OB/GYN. The primary care clinic moved to the new building late last year and obstetrics and gynecology joined the practice last month.

The new construction provides for 27 exam rooms so that providers can work collaboratively and simultaneously. These additional exam rooms allow for a considerable increase in patient throughput by reducing waiting times and expanding access to patient appointments.”

The practice now offers care for the entire family with obstetrics, gynecology, pediatrics, family medicine, and internal medicine.

“Adding orthopaedics and OB/GYN is an example of how GHS will continue to think creatively about providing a range of care to the community,” continued Snow.

A portion of the funding for the new facility comes from the Golden LEAF Foundation’s Community-Based Grantsmaking Initiative. Granville Health System was awarded a grant of $500,000 for this project.
