Granville Health System Celebrates Granville County’s First Baby of 2019

Welcome baby Layla!

Layla Casarrubias Cipriano made her entrance into the world at 1:35 p.m. on January 1 to become Granville Health System’s first baby of the year for 2019. Baby Layla, who weighed 6 lbs., 12 ½ oz. and measured 19” long, is the daughter of Sandra Cipriano Cortes and Virginio Casarrubias Pena.

The maternal grandmother is Maria Victoria Cipriano. The maternal grandfather is Rolando Cipriano. The baby’s aunts Kimberly Cipriano, Ashley Cipriano, and Jennifer Cipriano helped with her delivery.

Numerous gifts were presented to the first baby of the new year. A basket of baby care accessories including a baby blanket, stuffed animals, a bath set, a gift card for Cracker Barrel, and other items donated by GHS staff members.
