Granville Health System Expanding Availability of Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 Booster Shots Beginning November 1

Granville Health System (GHS), one of North Carolina’s leading rural healthcare providers, today announced that it will expand providing COVID-19 booster vaccine shots to every day of the work week beginning November 1. The booster shots will be available to patients by appointment only and will be administered Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Granville Primary Care & OBGYN in Oxford.

Patients wishing to receive a 1st, 2nd or booster of Pfizer or Moderna vaccine dose must make an appointment online through the GHS website or by calling Granville Primary Care & OBGYN in Oxford at (919) 693-6541. Appointments will be scheduled every 20 minutes to allow for wait times. Visitors must check in at the front desk at the Granville Primary Care & OBGYN location. After a vaccine shot is administered, patients will be observed for a 15-minute period and may then check out and schedule a next dose, if needed.

Patients already being seen by a Granville Primary Care & OBGYN provider for another reason and are interested in the COVID-19 vaccine may receive the vaccine during the same visit. However, they should request the vaccine at the beginning of their visit to allow for the 15-minute observation time.
