Granville Health System Names New CNO

Granville Health System (GHS) announced it has selected Ann Marie Holtzman-Wheeler as its Chief Nursing Officer.

Holtzman-Wheeler has been serving in an interim capacity since August 2018.

“I’ve been with Granville Health System since 2009 and always appreciated the organization’s commitment to quality and patient care,” said Holtzman-Wheeler. “I look forward to working with our board of trustees, nursing staff and administrative team to continue to serve the needs of our community while remaining focused on our number one priority, the care and safety of the patient.”

Holtzman-Wheeler joined GHS as a staff nurse in the Emergency Department and became the Clinical Team Lead in 2012. Eventually, she took on the role of Emergency Department Manager and added Women’s Services Manager to her responsibilities. She has served as Interim Chief Nursing Officer since August.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Winston Salem State University. She began her career as a Paramedic with both Warren and Franklin counties. She is a member of the Emergency Nurses Association.

“We are pleased that Ann Marie will continue in her role as Chief Nursing Officer and look forward to her leadership supporting a nursing culture of excellence,” said John F. Snow, GHS Chief Executive Officer. “Ann Marie has moved into this new role at an exciting time as we continue to expand services and access to innovative healthcare. Ann Marie is a proven leader and her focus on quality and exceptional clinical judgement make her a great asset to the organization and the communities we serve.”
