Granville Health System Physician Office Locations Now Offering TELEHEALTH Visits

TELEHEALTH visits now offered!

Granville Health System announced that TELEHEALTH visits are being offered at Granville Primary Care, Butner-Creedmoor and Granville Primary Care & OB/GYN in Oxford.

TELEHEALTH visits, or telephone visits for non-emergent conditions, will allow patients to receive primary care visits by telephone, negating the need for in-person office visits for some particular medical care reasons.

Granville Primary Care is still open for in-person office visits and urges the community not to avoid coming in to receive care, if needed.

“As a physician, I’m asking you to follow the guidance from public health officials to prevent the spread of the coronavirus,” said Liz Baltaro, MD of Granville Primary Care, Butner-Creedmoor. “But as you follow preventative guidance, please don’t skip your care. A visit to your clinician is an important step in keeping you healthy and well.”

Granville Health System has put screening practices into place in its clinics to protect its staff as well as patients seeking care. The measures include hand hygiene for everyone who enters the building, screening questions for possible COVID-19, and temperature checks.

The Health System has also restricted the number of caregivers allowed to accompany a patient. Education and continuous updates to infection prevention guidelines have been provided for all staff and medical staff.

“The clinics are a safe place,” said Baltaro. “But if you are reluctant to get out, we can offer a TELEHEALTH visit.”

TELEHEALTH is an option for the following types of visits:

  • Diabetes management
  • High blood pressure
  • Depression/anxiety
  • High cholesterol
  • Fever
  • Cold symptoms
