Oxford Mayor Issues Proclamation for Nurses Week

Oxford Mayor Jacqueline (Jackie) vdH Sergent recently signed a proclamation declaring May 6 – 12, 2019 as Nurses Week in the City of Oxford.

Sergent recognized the important work of nurses in the community and the role of grace and understanding in delivering care. She spoke of the gift of unexpected kindness from nurses and other hospital staff as they serve the community.

Mayor Sergent was supported by Granville Health System representatives from its nursing units as well as administration. She delivered the proclamation during the annual GHS Distinguished Nurse of the Year reception.
