The Granville Health System Foundation Announces Morning Start for Ambulance Chase and Food Truck Rodeo

The Granville Health System Foundation announced that the 2020 Ambulance Chase and Food Truck Rodeo will begin in the morning this year. The event is scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in downtown Oxford.

The 10K Run, 5K Run, and 1-Mile Family Walk will be held in partnership with the Downtown Oxford Economic Development Corporation and offers something for everyone – from serious runners to families looking for a day of fun. A Food Truck Rodeo will be held at the finish line as well as live music by Pleasing Annie.

The Food Truck Rodeo will be open for the entire community beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the Littlejohn Street parking lot. There is no charge for admission to the Rodeo and a variety of food trucks will be in attendance.

Registration and packet pick-up for the activities will begin at 9:30 a.m. inside The Hub on Main. The Hub on Main is located at 100 Main Street in Oxford. Early packet pick-up is also available to pre-registered runners on Friday, March 6 from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm at Tobacco Wood Brewing Company, located at 117 Wall Street in Oxford.

  • 10K competitive race begins at 11:00 a.m. on Main Street and continues along a certified course (10K runners must maintain a 12 minute/mile pace throughout the course)
  • 5K competitive race begins at 11:20 a.m. on Main Street and continues along a certified course
  • 5K Fun Run begins at 11:25 a.m. on Main Street and is a great choice for participants and groups who are less concerned with their race time
  • 1-Mile Family Walk begins at 11:40 a.m. on Main Street
  • Food Truck Rodeo from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Littlejohn Parking Lot and is free to the public
  • Live music begins at 12:00 p.m. in the Littlejohn Street parking lot

The cost for the 10K is $40 pre-registered or $45 for same-day registration. The 5K events are $30 pre-registered or $35 for same-day registration. The 1-Mile Family Walk costs $20 pre-registered or $25 for same-day registration. This price includes a race tee shirt for the first 350 registered runners and awards for the top finishers. There is no charge for admission into the Food Truck Rodeo.
